About Us Curie stands for a cause : To design and handcraft products that are better for the environment and best for the consumer. All our products are loaded with ingredients fresh of the nature, fresh ingredients have a far more nutritious and effective action on the skin, than heavily preserved beauty products. Fresh raw ingredients which have not been broken down or aged have ACTIVE properties, especially the vitamins, minerals and enzymes with wonderful benefits. Our complete range is made with hands, to enhance the beauty and minimise the waste. All our products are designed to be dry, we use no to minimum amount of water in our products, thus eliminating the need to use plastic bottles and heavy preservatives. All our soaps are packed in recycled paper box and body scrub is packed in recyclable glass bottle. We Believe in a better future. Environmental Policy Since Curie began, we have been aware of how the products we manufacture and sell interact with the environment. We have always used creative solutions to make a positive impact on the planet, like the invention of edible body scrub. We are committed to becoming more sustainable the more we grow, by using our buying power to drive positive change. We believe taking care of the environment is everyone's responsibility including all of our staff and our customers. Here's how we've been doing it; Packaging Our passion is to get rid of plastic packaging when designing a product. We pack our soaps in biodegradable cling wraps and paper boxes that are made by recycled paper and our Scrubs are packed in recyclable Glass bottles. We save nearly 3500 plastic bottles in India from selling soap bars alone. Raw materials We take great care when buying our raw materials. We prefer to use ingredients that are produced in a sustainable way and avoid those that aren't. 100% of our range is self-preserving and we are so happy we have reached this benchmark. Water Water is very precious to us and we are aware that it is a luxury not everyone on the planet shares. By making solid products, we avoid using incredible amounts of water 3000 litres a year from selling soap bars in India. We will continue to monitor how we use water at the factory and reduce our consumption of water not used in products. Founder : Anchita Bhavsar has worked almost a decade in the Research and Development in the beauty industry . Thus gained knowledge in ingredient assessment and product formulation. As she has worked in Galaxy surfactants R&D, she has complete experience of how beauty formulation ingredients are synthesised in a lab and how scale up is done at manufacturing plant. At her term there she has a patent on sunscreen manufacturing. She has worked in Unilever where she was heading Asia and Africa in laundry division for competitor product analysis. She played crucial role in analytical method development for global laundry team. Being in HUL for few years had deepened her understanding towards the customer need and what industry offers. She feels there is gap between customer aspiration and what products are available in the market. Thus began the urge to create something out of ordinary. Curie is solely created keeping customer need and aspiration in mind. Curie products are an expression of customer centricity glazed with at most creativity.
