“Souls Wrapped in Threads’’ BY SAKSHI ‘Do Taar’ which ideally translates to Two Threads, every embroidery is done using threads . But the finest one is done using two strands. Hence the name ‘do taar’. We believe every garment is a story, story of craftsmanship, involving labour and love how an artisan devotes his time in the making of a garment . We at Do Taar believe in idealizing the beauty of handmade craftsmanship. Our vision behind this concept was to showcase the story of the artisan behind the finished piece of art. From the first stroke of the needle, when the artisan precisely marks the first design to the passing of the clothing down the line of various other artists who add on to it and make it even more special.

After completing my graduation I was working as a product designer at a small start up brand. Jobs never interested me. One day I decided to quit my monotonous job and try my luck. I started visiting my father's shop often . One day a lady visited my father's shop she was looking for someone who could help her design "ghagra choli " in chikankari . I came in with all the details possible . She trusted me, and I got the sample made it turned out really nice and she placed an order for 45 pieces. I started looking for women artisans who could embroider. Luckily I met Kiran and Shalu didi who were a big help. That's how I got my 1st order. Then I started my own online store in August 2019. Since then do taar is my Ghar se Ghar tak Brand.
